The Exits
Road Exit & Generator
Exit points along the road can be found at the outskirts of each property, typically situated beside the main roads. These road exits are safeguarded by an electrified cattle grid, which is connected to either a generator or an alternative power source. To locate the generator, follow the cables that extend from the exit and lead to the device’s location. Alternatively, you can listen closely for its operational sounds – it’s positioned in the exterior region of the map.
Disabling the electrified cattle grid and creating a pathway to the exit route involves turning off the generator. However, exercise caution as the Family, the antagonists in the game, have the capability to reactivate the generator after a brief cooldown period. When the cattle grid is clear, it’s crucial to move swiftly and decisively.
Once you successfully make it onto the road, Victims (playable characters) have the option to choose either direction to flee the property. It’s important to manage your stamina effectively and run as you aim to escape the impending danger. Keeping a close watch on your stamina and making a determined escape is essential to outpace the potential threat of the massacre orchestrated by the Family
Rear Exit & Car Battery
Rear gate exits are strategically positioned at the rear of properties, sometimes hidden from view but identifiable by their prominent gate posts. These exits are secured by an electrified cattle grid, which is connected to a car battery located within a nearby vehicle, or an alternate power source.
To locate the specific vehicle powering the cattle grid, follow the cable from the exit and trace it to the associated car. Disconnecting this cable will deactivate the electricity flowing through the grid. Subsequently, employing an unlock tool will enable you to release the gate’s lock, creating an avenue for the Victim (playable character) to escape.
Exercising caution is imperative, as noise makers are often strategically positioned in proximity to these gates. Additionally, using this exit leaves Victims vulnerable and exposed, demanding vigilant awareness of their surroundings to prevent a potential confrontation with a Family member.
Be mindful that the Family possesses the capability to reconnect the car battery, thereby reactivating the electrified cattle grid and sealing off the exit. As a result, swiftness is essential during the escape process.
Once the gate is accessible, ensure your stamina is adequate and swiftly embark on a sprint to escape the imminent danger of the massacre orchestrated by the Family.
Fusebox Exit & Fuse box
The exit operated by the fuse box presents itself as a sizable metal door consistently located within the Family’s basement. This door is affixed to a powered mechanism and is consistently equipped with overhead lights that serve as visual aids for identifying the correct entrance.
To unlock this escape route, the discovery of both the fuse box and the fuse itself becomes essential. The fuse box is positioned above ground on each map, while the elusive fuse can be concealed almost anywhere, demanding a vigilant eye to spot its location.
Once the fuse box and fuse are pinpointed, initiating the repair sequence becomes imperative. However, prior to this process, it’s necessary to forcefully open the fuse box using a suitable tool. Once accessible, the movement of the fuses to designated slots comes into play, with careful attention to align the AMP value for each set of colored fuses. Once this intricate restoration is completed, power is reinstated, prompting a momentary opening of the basement exit.
It’s worth noting that the basement door, regulated by the fuse box, remains accessible for a brief period before encountering overload, which prompts an automatic closure. Swiftness is thus crucial for effectively navigating this exit. If the window is missed, the basement door can be re-opened through interaction with the fuse box. However, exercising discretion is advised, as an excess of attempts might arouse suspicion from the Family. Therefore, a prudent and strategic approach is key to executing a successful plan.
Pressure Valve Exit
The valve escape exit is a substantial metal gate that is intricately connected to a pressure valve pump system. This gate is consistently situated in an outdoor location on every map.
To successfully utilize this exit, your primary task is to locate the pressure valve pipe and affix the valve handle to initiate the opening procedure. The valve handle is discreetly concealed somewhere within the map, demanding a thorough search to uncover its whereabouts.
Following the attachment of the valve handle and the commencement of the valve turning, pressure gradually accumulates within the system. Once a sufficient amount of pressure is achieved, the valve exit gate swings open, providing a route for all Victims to make their escape.
However, it’s essential to exercise caution, as the Family possesses the capability to interact with the pressure valve pipe, thereby halting the opening process. Should this intervention occur, the gate’s progress will reset, necessitating a fresh start.
Once the gate is open, there’s only a brief window of opportunity to make your escape before it reverts to a closed position. If you happen to miss this window, there’s no need for excessive concern, as the gate can always be reopened by repeating the valve handle attachment and turning process.
